What Evolve Physical Therapy can offer:

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is the treatment and management of pain and impaired movement by means of myofacial techniques, deep tissue massage, joint mobilisations and exercise prescription.

We aim to restore full normal movement and eliminate pain resulting from sports and occupational injury.

  • A full clinical assessment
  • Identify the cause of the problem, identifying what is causing the issue and resolving it from there rather than just ‘treat the injury’
  • A treatment plan tailored specifically to the patient to optimise best results
  • We educate the patient on how to prevent re-occurrence of such injuries in the future.
Posture Assessment and Advice

The purpose of postural assessment is to look at a person’s overall alignment and assess how their body is moving, functioning and how their muscles and joints work together. A therapist can then observe the person’s posture and then interpret the implications this may have.

Deep Tissue massage

Massage is an essential part of any physical therapy treatment and injury prevention programme. We offer Swedish massage, which is designed to relax the entire body while improving the circulation of blood flow returning to the heart. If you want to just unwind and switch your mind off from the stresses of life and work then no better way to this by booking a massage.

Sports Massage

Stretching is vital for muscles to work well and to prevent injures occurring. It is found that people don’t stretch adequately before or after exercise, which leaves them susceptible to an injury while exercising. Our therapists can massage and prepare your body for events and teach you how to properly stretch and develop a stretching programme unique to you.

Dry Needling

Dry needling works by targeting the needle insertion at myofascial trigger points in the muscle, creating a local twitch response in the muscle. This results in a reduction in the muscle tone or spasm, pain relief and restores normal elasticity and movement to the tissue. It’s effect is immediate and lasting and this accelerates the healing process.

Cupping

Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. By drawing impurities to the surface, it removes toxins. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

Baby Massage

There are numerous physiological benefits of massage for your baby:

  • Baby massage helps stimulate the many systems of the body such as the skin, digestive, nervous and respiratory systems.
  • It can speed up a baby’s development, help them gain weight and enable their digestive system to function more efficiently, thus easing pains and aiding colic and constipation, and in turn regulating sleep.
  • Because it impacts on all the systems of the body it is particularly beneficial for premature babies. It also helps them release stress and is a fantastic way to communicate and bond.
  • Massage is calming on the nervous system and is excellent for colic and sleep. Massaging raises levels of the ‘feel-good’ hormone oxytocin in both you and your baby, helping you both feel calmer and relaxed.
